
Simon Chartrand (he/him) is the Institutional Giving Manager at LatinoJustice PRLDEF. He secures funding and builds strategic partnerships to advance racial justice. With expertise in grant writing, donor engagement, and program development, Simon has expanded funding opportunities and strengthened support for transformative programs.
Simon has significant experience providing pro bono legal services, health and human services, and workforce development. He has served underrepresented communities, including BIPOC immigrants of diverse gender identities and sexual orientations. As a transgender professional, Simon brings firsthand insight and a commitment to promoting inclusivity and equitable opportunities. At Translatinx Network for five years, he managed a pro bono community immigration legal clinic, led programs, and created workforce development courses. Simon also provided essential in-person support during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Simon has contributed to higher education as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, where he taught French to undergraduates at Baruch and Hunter Colleges. He was also a PhD candidate studying French medieval literature at CUNY Graduate Center. Simon holds a Bachelor's in French and English literatures from SUNY College at Oneonta.
