National Advocacy Manager of Voting Rights

Isabelle C. Muhlbauer is LatinoJustice’s National Advocacy Manager of Voting Rights. She joined LJP as Voting Rights Advocacy Coordinator in June 2022. Isabelle brings almost a decade of experience in advocacy. Prior to joining LatinoJustice, she coordinated the Veterans Practice at the New York Legal Assistance Group where she directly assisted veterans in accessing benefits and overcoming barriers to benefits. In that capacity, she also led efforts to expand program capacity through various successful pro bono projects and built lasting relationships with community-based organizations serving veterans. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from CUNY Baruch and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy.

She is a Brazilian immigrant and former DACA recipient who is passionate about empowering the Latinx community through civic engagement. Although not born in NYC, Isabelle is a proud Queens “native”. She often volunteers with civic engagement organizations and has travelled to Puerto Rico multiple times since Hurricane Maria to assist with recovery efforts.
