The US Federal Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in NYC conducted telephonic oral arguments this month on the Erie County Clerk’s appeal of 2019 federal court decision last fall dismissing his lawsuit seeking to challenge New York’s new GreenLight law.

LatinoJustice and Arnold & Porter filed an amicus brief in support of the GreenLight law on behalf of the NY Immigration Coalition, Rural & Migrant Ministry, Hispanic Federation, and Neighbors Link setting forth specific examples of how obtaining a driver’s license had beneficially impacted the lives of numerous immigrant residents.
