A pervasive form of work exploitation is wage theft, which is especially prevalent in economic sectors with high numbers of immigrant workers where workplaces operate largely out of public sight, such as restaurants and domestic work. We have recovered millions in back wages for scores of workers through litigation and advocacy, and conduct bilingual “Know Your Rights” trainings on labor related issues in a variety of communities.
