Corporate Law Firm Alliance Summer Program (CLASP)

The Corporate/Law Firm Alliance Summer Program (CLASP) is a two-year paid summer internship open to qualified 1L and 2L students at select law schools. CLASP participants work two consecutive summers, the first in a corporate legal department and the next for a partnering law firm.    

CLASP participants are matched with mentors in the corporate legal department and the law firm where they work to provide ongoing professional guidance, and receive support from LJP staff.    

Application portal for Summer 2024 CLASP program opens December 2023    
Application deadline: January 5, 2024    
Preliminary interviews (virtual): January 16 and 17, 2024    

Eligibility 
The CLASP summer internship program is open to all eligible applicants.   

Applicants need not be affiliated with LatinoJustice PRLDEF.*   

To be eligible for consideration, you must be:

  • A first-year law student (1Ls) or a second year part-time student in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • A student at one of the participating law schools listed below.
  • Available for the first round of interviews with LatinoJustice education committee members, if selected.
  • Available to be interviewed by a participating corporation and law firm, if selected as a finalist.
