Provides legal intakes for Latinx with cases involving wage theft, employment issues, housing discrimination, immigrants’ rights, claims related to disaster relief and housing for evacuees of Hurricane Maria, education and voting rights matters. Issues related to prisoners’ rights and criminal justice matters are made on a case-by-case basis. Intakes are conducted by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance at southeast@latinojustice.org .

We focus on issues faced by low-wage Latinx workers, including but not limited to wage theft, discrimination, retaliation, workplace safety and other issues related to workplace injustices such as language access. We are open to all civil rights issues faced by the Latinx community on Long Island, including but not limited to government misconduct by federal, state and municipal actors, and infringement on Latinx voting power. We conduct bilingual KYRs on immigrants' rights.
