LATINOJUSTICE STATEMENT ON THE SENATE VOTE TO CONFIRM AMY CONEY BARRETT TO THE SUPREME COURT

The Senate vote to confirm Judge Coney Barrett makes a mockery of the “advice and consent” requirement in our Constitution. It belies any sense of a deliberative process and instead, does the bidding of the President – one that has publicly stated what he expects his nominees to do. Senate Republicans will now face the true arbiter of their electoral fates: the voters.
