Inter-American Commission on Human Rights’ Grants LatinoJustice's Petition on U.S. Human Rights Violations Against Latinxs for Merits Hearing
LatinoJustice PRDEF recently submitted a supplemental report to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights concerning incidents of continuing racialized violence and hate crimes being perpetrated against Latinx within the United States in response to the anti-immigrant climate actively fostered by the U.S. government and local officials.
The Commission last year substantiated many of the claims in LatinoJustice’s petition after ten years of review, and granted the petition allowing it to advance to a merits hearing.
